Trackside Service Manager - Drag Racing Tires
Supervisor - Company Owner / Leadership Team
Job Location: Maryville Tennessee (Warehouse) with@ 40% travel.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:
Coordinate & manage Drag Tire trackside tire service, truck(s), and event inventory for 20+ select Drag Race events.
Manage & Grow the Drag Race tire sales for HTSR&D.
HTSR&D Drag Tire Dealer Development, Support, & Management.
Work directly with the racers, dealers, & Hoosier, providing best in class customer service, tech support, product application, satisfaction, and internal feedback.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage and train tire service tech(s) to provide at track Drag Tire service in the most cost effective & efficient manner while maximizing customer satisfaction.
Dismount, mount and balance tires at events based on customer expectations / business level.
Proactively organize customer tire reservations and event inventory.
Coordinate trackside team travel schedule, lodging and meals, per diem, etc.…
Coordinate with warehouse manager to use trackside staff for inbound trucks & heavy freight days.
Maintain inventory control measures and perform a physical inventory of track side stock.
Capturing & record all sale transaction for Drag products sold trackside & provide weekend summary.
Supervisory responsibilities should be executed in accordance with the HTSR&D policies and applicable laws.
Education and/or Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent is required
Five years of Drag Racing industry experience required.
Associates or four-year college degree is preferred.
Personnel management experience a plus
Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License a plus
Desired Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
This position requires that the person be highly organized, self-motivated individual who can work independently.
Ability to manage people & be a team player
Must be able to travel 25+ weeks/weekends throughout the year, an average of 2 to 4 days per event. Be comfortable driving & operating trackside service vehicle solo or with a team.
Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.
Must have proficient computer skills. I.e. Basic knowledge of word processing, e-mail/Internet software and Excel Spreadsheet. QuickBooks software a plus
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
This position requires the ability to regularly sit, stand, walk, and bend and move about the facility and/or other off-site locations.
Must be able to work in extreme temperature conditions as track service is outdoors.
Must be flexible with rest and meal periods.
Salary & Incentive package commensurate with experience level
