Activities Director- Transitional Care Unit Full Time, 80 Hours Per Pay Period, Day Shift Position Summary:
Responsible for directing the development, implementation, supervision, and ongoing evaluation of the activities program. This includes the completion and/or directing/delegating the completion of the activities component of the comprehensive assessment: and contributing to and/or directing/delegating the contribution to the comprehensive care plan goals and approaches that are individualized to match the skills, abilities, and interests/preferences of each resident. Minimum Education:
None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority. Minimum Experience:
Must have computer skills and good communication skills. Previous experience preferred. Licensure Requirements:
Qualified therapeutic recreation specialist, or Licensed or registered and is eligible for certification as a therapeutic recreations specialist or An activities professional by a recognized accrediting body on or after October 1, 1990 or Has 2 years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last 5 years, one of which was full-time in a therapeutic activities program; is a qualified OT or is a qualified COTA; or Has completed a Basic Training for Activity Coordinators Certification (involving 50 hours of training through THCA) required at time of hire or within four (4) months of date of hire. BLS certification is required.
